Never has the challenge and need for a magazine to be really, really good been greater. Every magazine, in print and online, needs to give their readers a reason to invest and get involved. We need to reward them for their time. Every issue needs to deliver. The narrative needs to assure readers. That translates into what we’re all after, engagement.
Our shared goal is simple—captivating readers.
Make no mistake, having the right designer and art director with the necessary experience and expertise, imagination, understanding, and sense of urgency is critical. But it is equally critical to have a strong, on-staff advocacy when it comes to the editorial and content. In this case, one that accurately captures the pulse of our audience and makes a vision become reality. That’s where your great team comes in. Remember, every page counts.
A magazine can’t just be for someone; it has to be about something. And that is telling your story. Together, we can engage readers with a distinctive voice that defines, respects, and celebrates your mission and reflects its exciting future.
Some ideas for my friends at the MGA to consider for their membership magazine, MassGolfer.
